Overview
Clear Environmental was engaged to undertake BRE 365 infiltration testing to support the drainage strategy for a new-build residential scheme in Surrey. The assessment was required to demonstrate the suitability of infiltration-based SuDS as part of the planning submission.
Scope
- Assess soil infiltration capacity in line with BRE 365 methodology.
- Provide infiltration rates for soakaway design.
- Deliver rapid results to support project timelines and planning requirements.
Outcome
We conducted soakaway testing in accordance with BRE Digest 365 using excavated trial pits positioned at proposed soakaway locations. The results were analysed and delivered the same day, enabling the design team to finalise the drainage layout and submit a robust, evidence-based SuDS strategy to the Local Planning Authority.
